Farewell from the Instructor (and his wife) of the School of the Prophetic Harp

In closing we offer a final farewell. Thanks again for the prayer support and ask once more that you would remember this school and the the lives of the instructors and students who have been launched in the restoration of the use of the harp for worship, intercession and spiritual warfare. We believe this to be a strategic rebirthing in the Kingdom of God for such a time as this, particularly as it relates to the restoration of the Tabernacle of David. Even though this is the conclusion of the first school in Jerusalem, a number of opportunities for future schools have opened up (see previous posting and check our website at www.propheticharp.com). Harppy Hanukkah

As the Students of the Prophetic Harp find their way back to their homes in countries around the world, a few remaining students celebrate Hanukka at the JHOPFAN Prayer House on the Mount of Olives in Jerusalem (pictured below). A special thanks goes to all of you who have stood with us in prayer during this historic first of the schools of the Prophetic Harp. Eternity will only tell of the results of your prayers.

Harpists at the Garden Tomb

As one of our last outings the School of the Prophetic Harp, we had a lovely time of worship and reflection at the Garden Tomb. At this site the hill of Golgotha stands convincingly as an authentic site of the most significant event in history. Harps on the Tiberias Boardwalk - Israeli Musicians Have Harp Mini-seminar

Overlooking the Sea of Galilee (also known as the Kinneret after the lake's harp-like shape - a kinnor is Hebrew for a 10 stringed harp) the students of the School of the Prophetic Harp played on the Tiberias Boardwalk. This proved to be a relaxing adventure after a very busy 3 weeks of training and ministering. The people at the Galilee Experience streamed a live feed of the harpists on their website as they are located on the boardwalk www.thegalileeexperience.com Here is a short YouTube video clip of some of the music that was played http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Aj13NwB3oX4   It has been interesting to watch the reactions of people passing by when then encounter the beautiful sounds of the "harpistra".

One of the objectives of the School of the Prophetic Harp is to restore the use of the harp for worship and intercession particularly in Israel, the birthplace of the prophetic harp. After playing on the boardwalk, the students enjoyed the walking around the waterfront while a few of the students assisted the school instructor with a mini-seminar for Israeli worship leaders and musicians. (see photo below - note the Kinneret in the background) This seminar was exciting as this was the first-fruits of our efforts and will be followed up by a 5 day school in Israel for Israelis (translated in Hebrew as was this first seminar) at the JHOPFAN Prayer House on the Mount of Olives from April 3rd to 8th, 2011. Harpists from around the world meet the Harpists of Israel

School of the Prophetic Harp on Mount Carmel

The School of the Prophetic Harp had a wonderful opportunity to minister at the top of Mount Carmel at Kehilat HaCarmel. This is the location where Elijah confronted the prophets of Baal and is currently the location of the beautiful facility where the Messianic congregation led by David and Karen Davis meet - here is their web site....  http://www.carmel-assembly.org.il/

Harpists Surround the Old City of Jerusalem with the Sound of the Harp

The students of the School of the Prophetic Harp enacted a prophetic action by assigning a team of harpists to each gate of the Old City of Jerusalem. On November 18, after prayer walking the ramparts, synchronized at 11 min. after 11 the harpists began to intercede over the city with the beautiful sound of the harp. The following scripture was sung as a prayer...

Hag 2:6-9

6 “For thus says the Lord of hosts: ‘Once more (it is a little while) I will shake heaven and earth, the sea and dry land; 7 and I will shake all nations, and they shall come to the Desire of All Nations, and I will fill this temple with glory,’ says the Lord of hosts. 8 ‘The silver is Mine, and the gold is Mine,’ says the Lord of hosts. 9 ‘The glory of this latter temple shall be greater than the former,’ says the Lord of hosts. ‘And in this place I will give peace,’ says the Lord of hosts.”

After a time of prayer and proclamation all the harpists regrouped in front of the Golden Gate to declare the soon coming of the King of Jerusalem. Please pray for our time of ministry at David and Karen Davis’ Congregation on Mount Carmel just after their Shabbat service on Nov 20th as well as the meeting of the students of the School of the Prophetic harp with the harpists of Israel at a party held for us by the Nevel Harp Society the following Monday evening.

Prayer Watch at King of Kings

The morning of November 18 we will be setting a team of harpists at each of the gates of the Old City of Jerusalem. In this symbolic prophetic act we will surround the city with the sound of the harp and ask God to shatter the spiritual glass-like sphere of oppression and allow the heavens to be opened and God's Kingdom to break through! Please join us in this strategic act of intercession at 11 min. after 11am Israeli time.

Students of the School of the Prophetic Harp - At the City of David

The students of the School of the Prophetic Harp spent the day at the City of David to let the sound of the harp be heard once again in the ancient place of David's palace. It is also in this place where the Pool of Siloam is located. This place is significant as this is where Nehemiah sent out his choir of singers and harpists when the walls of Jerusalem were rededicated on their way to the temple to meet up with another group of musicians coming from the opposite direction. Nehemiah and Ezra record the reinstatement of the singers and harpists into the service of the Lord - this is a template for what we hope to prophetically rebirth, the use of the harp in the service of the King of Jerusalem!

"Harp Attack" in Jerusalem - Harpists on the front cover of the Jerusalem Post

The students of the School of the Prophetic Harp played for an enthusiastic crowd on the streets of Jerusalem on Ben Yehuda Street. Over 1000 shekels were raised for an Israeli harpist who is a street musician and had been in a accident leaving her unable to support herself. Amazingly, the students were featured on the front cover the Jerusalem Post! Please continue to pray as many opportunities for the students to play are opening up. Samuel's Mountain Expedition

The School of the Prophetic Harp had an amazing time on Samuel's Mountain, the location of the School of the Prophets mentioned in I Samuel 19. A time of impartation was experienced in a powerful way. During our stay the cry of the muezzin was heard as shown on the YouTube video clip but a new sound was heard - the sound of prophetic harpists not heard for thousands of years. Then a very strange thing happened. We were invited to come into the mosque to play the harp. The mosque is shared by both Jew and Muslim as it is the location of Samuel's Tomb. We were further surprised when a man with an oud (a middle eastern lute) came out and wanted to play in the echoing space along with the harp. You'll have to see it to believe it...

Harpists at the Western Wall Near the Menora

The School of the Prophetic Harp's first foray into Jerusalem was a blessed event with many onlookers asking question about the school and bringing the sound of peace to the city. It is exciting to consider that such a gathering of harpists who are worshipers has probably not been in the city of Jerusalem since temple days! We feel lifted by your prayers!

Harpist in the Garden of Gethsemane

The School of the Prophetic Harp interceded overlooking the Old City of Jerusalem in the Garden of Gethsemane. When we first arrived in the Dominus Flevit compound, the atmosphere was chaotic. Dogs were barking, the muezzin was ranting anti-Israel tirades over the mosque loud-speaker, there were tourists groups being addressed by their leader and the occasional hymn being sung. The over-all feeling in the air was that of a cacophonic sound-scape. Then, the harpist began to play. Slowly a definite change began to take place. Strangely, the muezzin began to sing in the same key as we were playing. The dogs stopped barking and birds sang joyfully in response to the harps. Finally, the singing of the people also merged into our key. You had to be there to believe it!

Tonight, around 8:15 Jerusalem time, we will be playing our harps just above the Western Wall in the Old City of Jerusalem. Our objective is to change the spiritual atmosphere over the city with a new sound from heaven. Please pray for this time of intercession. Hapists Meet With Israeli Harp Society - Instructor Meets With Media Crew

Just before the start of the School of the Prophetic Harp we were down on Ben Yehuda Street meeting with the Nevel Harp Society to introduce some of the harpists from our school to this group of harpists from Israel. We have been invited to a party where our students will meet with their members - pray this will be a blessed time!  On November 11 at 7pm the school will be doing a benefit street concert for the bottom left harpist who is known as the Harp Lady of Jerusalem - she recently broke both her legs, preventing her from her making a living from playing the harp at her usual spot on Ben Yehuda Street. Please pray that this concert will have a wonderful impact on the city of Jerusalem and the life of this dear harpist!

While having lunch, the pictured video crew (the same producer of the TV series Grizzley Adams) came by, staffed by our friends from Israel Vistas (the Rawlings). Consequently, I was asked to be interviewed regarding my stand for Israel and the political situation - I was delighted to voice a strong perspective from a believers perspective which will be viewed all over the world. An orthodox Jewish man, who had been listening to the interview declared "this man is the best representative for Israel!" and the producer was thankful for a clear Bible-centered interview. Amazing things are already happening - please pray for God's continued intervention.

At the Wall

Here we are at the Western Wall with a harp (which in the past we were not allowed to bring in - this time we could bring it in, but not take out of the case - next time!....). We connected with some new friends who are staying at the JHOPFAN Prayer House. Pastor Brian, who we renamed "Baruch" and his wife Cynthia, pictured below, have invited us to come down to Costa Rica. (during the middle of our Canadian winter sounds like a good time to go)

We spent the day setting up the schedule for the School... however, we are asking for your prayers that we will be led by the Spirit in all that we will be doing.

Instructors Arrive in Israel

Hi everyone, here we are leaving from the airport in Toronto Ontario, Canada on route to Jerusalem. At the time of this posting we have in fact arrived in Jerusalem with all things intact, only suffering from the expected jet lag. Dome in the Heavenlies over Jerusalem 'shattered' at the sound of the harp

Here is part of an email concerning the School of the Prophetic Harp which was sent in from one of our students. We would love to hear from you if you feel you have a word the Lord for the school.

"...Hilda Chen also contacted us this morning and has asked that the harpist will conduct at ‘watch’ at the Pavilion Prayer Tower, which is on Jaffa Road.  She is expecting this new sound to break old cycles.

Just two weeks ago, Dale got the word SHATTER.  Then in the following week, we got a CD from Glory of Zion and Chuck Pierce talks about how the atmosphere is changing because things have shattered.  He states that if we allow God’s voice to thunder into our circumstances, it will shatter the things opposing and holding us back.... especially the fear of what the future may hold.  LeAnn Squier then starts to sing Shhh  Shhh Shh shatter, etc. [shhh being pronounced like you are shushing someone]  Anyway, I wanted to let you know I believe that something is going to be shattered over Jerusalem when we play.  In fact, people have envisioned a glass dome over the city and another person said that they felt in their heart that the Lord himself is going to play the strings of the harp bridge which cause the dome to shatter.  I am expecting a brightness and unbelievable liberty/favour.  So we keep on praying and saying.... The best is yet to come. Amen and amen."

Welcome Students to the School of the Prophetic Harp

It is with great joy that I welcome you to the first School of the Prophetic Harp to take place in Jerusalem, the City of the Great King! I believe that this gathering is historic as we do our part to help in the restoration of the Tabernacle of David. To my knowledge this is the first gathering of harpists who have desired to worship in Spirit and in Truth since the days when Samuel and his School of the Prophets prophesied with harps in the days of King David. I believe that this restoration of the use of the harp for intersection, worship, deliverance and healing has been in the heart of God for a very long time. It appears that for such a time as this that the release of the prophetic harp is in the NOW!

When we speak of the prophetic, this important part of the Kingdom of God has often been misused and misunderstood. The prophetic is simply a loving Heavenly Father longing to speak to His children and we know that He also rejoices over us with SINGING! As we are here together, we have the guarantee that wherever two or three are gathered in His Name, He is here in our presence. We can, with all humility and faith, expect that our Abba, the Heavenly Bridegroom, will profoundly speak to us at this set and appointed time... Words of love directed to His beloved Bride and eternal companion who is soon to rule with Him on earth – forever!

There is a very high level of excitement and anticipation not only amongst the attending students, but also from many of those who have heard of this school. I believe that with this intent to re-establish the harp that this is giving our God a great deal of joy. The time to release a new sound in the heavenlies is NOW and the lovely vibration of the strings of the harp will reverberate in sync with the harps around the throne of the Lamb. With this synchronicity, as it is in Heaven – let it be here on earth, there is no telling what wonderful things are in store for us, both now and in the near future.

We have planned a number of  exciting opportunities to not only encounter the Lord for yourself, but to also reach out to the local community with the great beauty of the Lord as expressed through the harp. I trust that you will not only learn some valuable skills that you will be able to launch you ministering on the harp, the that you will have a life changing experience that will affect many people starting right NOW and over the next 30 days.

 It is therefore my great pleasure to invite you to experience all that God has in His heart to impart to us during this amazing first of the School of the Prophetic Harps.
